Ah, the start of a new year, full of possibilities, an bright shiny newness. As I sit here with Kaelyn sharing the tradition of the Rose Parad with her it amazes me that this is my 33rd Rose Parade! I love that she is actually "getting" it this year. The horses especially get her all excited. (yes, I am a Rose Parade dork...I LOVE the parade and have to watch it every year!)
Today will be filled with food, floats and football. Awesome. That is MY kind of day!

Anyway, Last night was fun. First, we dropped off my step-mom at the airport (whew!!!) then headed to one friend's house for a little bit then to another where K was having SO much fun we ended up staying until 9:30! She was absolutely perfect all night, not a tantrum to be seen and just general goodness abounded. Those are the days when the buttons on our mommy and daddy vests are about ready to burst. Of course we all know that K is adorable, but when you add in angelic? *swoon* She is just amazing!
The countdown is on...10 days until K's birthday!
