What is UP with my daughter? Tantrums abound, she has one volume these days LOUD!!! And last night she decided to keep us up for over TWO hours because she just wanted to be held and the second you put her in bed she went ballistic. I am seriously at a loss. Is this really what being 2 is all about? Really? Please, please tell me the it's not like this for the foreseeable future! And the defiance! Holy cow! I do not want my mantra to be "no, Kaelyn!" but you can only say "you can't pull on the oven door sweetie, it can hurt you, ouch!" so many times before you break and a voice from a place inside your body you don't know screams "I SAID NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Of cours it's not all bad, it just seems that way at the moment. It may be the added stress of my step-mom being here with us...but I am at a breaking point and need a break. Deep breaths mommy, you get a night out tomorrow! Woo!!!

I'm right there with you on the defiance issue. Claire tells me "Hush mommy" when I say something she doesn't like. Hush Mommy! Like she's the boss of me!

I won't tell you what three is like, I'll just say, there's a reason they don't tell you what three is like. They want you to think it gets better after two....
And you'll have the last laugh of course because I don't have a two or three year old NOW, but you'll be on the other side of this when I'm tearing my hair out!
Oh, it's not just 'cause your step-Mom's there. It just gets worse. And worse. And worse.
And then apparently somehow, it eventually gets better. But, I'm telling you now, the point where it gets better is not age 3. Ugh.
