That's "Old McDonald" to those of you that don't speak toddler-ese. And that is what Kaelyn has deemed the appropriate name for EVERYTHING. Her dolls, her turtle, her horse...everything is named "Old Nodonow" It's hysterical. You can ask her what anything's name is and it's always the same response. Mike and I were discussing last night how sad it's going to be when this phase passes, because it cracks us right up every.single.time!
Yesterday we had her 2-year appointment. Now, I have to start by saying that Kaelyn is in love with her doctor. I kid you not. Every day (no exageration) she asks "I see Dr. Dave?" so yesterday we finally got to say, YES! You get to see Dr. Dave!! Oh the joy! Anyway, it was a good appointment. K stats are:
30.5 pounds (80th Percentile)
36.5 inches tall (95th Percentile)
I have a feeling she is going to be just like me. Tall and thin...until she hits puberty. I didn't grow an inch after 7th grade. Everyone swore I was going to be TALL... no, I just did all of my growing when I was a baby! I ended up on the short end of average.
The doctor asked us if she knew at least 40 words. I would at LEAST triple that, probably more. We lost count a long time ago. She has a very large vocabulary and is starting to make 4 word sentences. Verbal skills? Check!
She also got one shot (Hep A vaccine) and didn't cry at all. Wow! I don't think she even realized she got it! Wow.
Overall, she is a healthy, happy, smart little girl!
After the Dr. we headed to Costco, then home and had an interesting evening which I will expand on in another post.
